Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Who I have lost contact with is my friend Rudolf Karl (Rudy) talked to him 4 months ago and had major heath issues then. We talked on the phone for 3 YEARS or so but last we talked he was not in good shape.
Has anyone else heard from him?

He called one day to sell me his p08 I missed the call and tried the next day and have not heard from him after.
We talked on the phone at least 3 times a month. His dad is still alive in Arkansas I am seeking him out.

Update Rudolf Karl is no longer with us and I am very sad.
My dear friend (Rudy) Rudolf K. Ilmberger 60 passed away May 19 2013.
We spoke last just a few days before that and I could not get a hold of him.
His brother in law called me today with the bad news.
He had been ill for some time but took a quick turn for the worse.
He will be missed dearly and was a true friend.

Haha the dark nights are already upon some of us further North, Sun will be gone by 630 within another 2 weeks. guess I need to go looking for my winter boots...
