they did, a company called tanaka. they dont make them anymore as of a few months ago but i have one that i use for airsoft games. here a link to a youtube video of me firing it. it feels just like the real thing.

Think thers another company thats makes airsoft K98ks called Dboys, if I remember it uses the shell ejecting type
