Latest news in 'Variety' magazine is that the American release is to be re-named 'The Bombers of Scampton County' and the lead character will be played by Tom Hanks who kills the Nazi leadership with his Colt .45 as he surfs down the Mohne river after the 'bridge' has been sucessfully destroyed by the attacking B-17's.
