The movie project started in 2012 where was accepted by PROGETTO900 as producers.
The movie is entirely made by reenactors and actors that worked for free.
after 3 years of shooting, the movie will be coming out very soon.

Plot outline
Untersharfuhrer Siegfried Herckel, devoted and patriotic soldier of the important 1^ Division SS Leibstandarte, after having fought in different fronts, will face the discovery of the holocaust, something that was kept secret from the German people. Now he will face a with his own thoughts, not for his country, but for his own future.

I'm a little dubious of that it is realistic to say that the 'holocaust, [...] was kept secret from the German people'.

Obviously about a bunch of good nazis who even though they were in the SS did not know the holocaust had been happening for years. Do me a favour, whilst I might believe that some nazis or SS were not directly involved in or perhaps supporters of the holocaust, but I do not believe that any did not know it was happening. I can see this thread being deleted very soon.

interesting view from the Italian point of view, although I see totally "anti - Nazi "
... although they have always been terrible in combat.
and it 's nothing personal , and I have Italian friends and so tell them...
but God , something better to " life is beautiful "
I find it to be an interesting angle but, at the same time, dubious at best more or less due to reasons already stated above.
