    Default Norwegian felllow members please help for a custom problem

    Hey guy's,
    here is a question that a Norwegian collector put on a other forum;
    I just bought a new Haube and got it imported to the beautiful Norway. Customs charged me 25% of the full buying price as custom duties. My understanding was that Pickelhauben should be considered as collectibles with a historical value and should therefore be cleared on 20% of the buying prices (25% of 20% being 5% of the total price).
    I now have to fill a complain and probably build an argumentation in order to qualify the Pickelhaube as a true collectible. The best would be to have a precedence...

    Is there anybody who could help thise chap out of his misery?
    thanks for your reply.

    I'm sorry I didn't see this post before now:
    This sounds like the Norwegian mail service all over. I am not entirely sure how you would go about complaining about it, but tell him to ask on this forum:
    »» Samlerforumet.net . They'll know.

    I am very familiar with the Norwegian mail service charging 25% on things which has a value of over 200 kr(Or 1000 kr if it is sent as a gift from person to person).
    Really pisses me off when I have to order from abroad, and they delay my package with sometimes up to several weeks, and then charge me a heck of a lot of money for it.

    Hope it works out!
    Best Regards

    Vegard T.
