Instead of using direct light, get some sheets of polystyrene and 'bounce' the light off them onto the subject. This will 'soften' the light.
(Not trying to sound like a know-it-all, i've just picked up a few tricks whilst being dragged into the studio as an 'assistant' over the years)
If it's from shaking than the tripod I used is shaking, lol. They fuzziness I see may be a result of my daughter decorating the computer screen with her fingerprints.by rbminis
Your new photos look pretty clear to me Todd, especially the liner shot.
Maybe your depth of focus is set too low. Either that or you just plain "shake".
