    Hello. I ask to forgive if not there placed a subject, I only was registered and yet very much I am guided here.
    Question essence, I from Ukraine, here dug out this button, it is clear that it is the Belgian button, but here what period and who carried them not clearly. I ask your help in definition of this button. Diameter 16мм.

    I am in to buttons as well, but thise doesn't look famyliar to me at all.

    Never seen one like this before. It sure looks Belgian to me too, as the lion in the shield has no sword as like the Dutch buttons. It also has the royal crown, but are you sure it's a military button? Maybe we're looking for the wrong thing; could be customs, fire brigade, that sort of thing. Don't think it's from the Napoleon period, as that was before Belgiums independence (1831).

    I so understand this button on the period after 1831? That is a military button I I do not approve, for this purpose and created this subject that experts would help to define its origin.
    On the Internet didn't meet analogs of this button. Especially it is interesting that it is found in the east of Ukraine. A find place old apple gardens, there still meet sleeves of Kaynok of 1917.

    Defenetly Belgian, and indeed not military.
    I was thinking like a button for the personal of the royal court.
