This is excellent footage. Reminds me of a string of photographs I found a few months back. These were taken by a man named Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii around the turn of the century. But others, some of the russian photos, date all the way back to the 1870's or 1880's. It's amazing that so few people know about these films and photographs of color!

Those are impressive photos, were they colorized or is that natural color?
This is from Wikipedia: To capture the color images for which he is now best-known, Prokudin-Gorsky used a camera that took a series of three monochrome pictures in sequence, each through a different-colored filter. By projecting all three monochrome pictures using correctly-colored light, it was possible to reconstruct the original color scene.
That's pretty clever. Why didn't all photographers of the era do that?
