Hi, for re-enactment I wear many original items of uniform and equipment, but I am careful about how I use it.
Back in the 1980's I used to portray a US Infantryman. There were not repro items in those days and everything I wore was original, even down to the socks and underpants!
Cheers, Ade.
I keep asking my wife to wear some stuff, but she keeps saying no I don't know why!
I've worn some of my belts/buckles.....mostly Weimar and WW1 stuff - but the odd time I'll wear a TR army belt buckle. I've done this quite a bit....Such a cool look to German buckles.
Cheers!
Rob
I wear in RKKA reenactment: original pre war long boots, 1946 year trousers, M35 converted to M43 gimnasterka, 1940 dated pilotka, German Dienstbrille, original belt and leather cross-straps, original m43 shoulderstraps, as many of the pouches and kit.

I used a ww2 brit waterbottle when I went somewhere nasty and sandy with HM forces....it was quite convenient with just a web strap, but it was a little frowned upon my some of the striped numpteys who didd'nt appreciate the historical significance! LOL

I've got an Ost front button hole on my jacket all the time.
