A great photo of the youth from Macau, note the tropical hat, "Aussie" style.
This formation was very small in numbers, the shirt, trousers and socks are in complete diferent style. This uniform is extremely rare.

Now for a very polemic photo, taken during an even more polemic event.
These kids are wearing a repro youth uniform, because their school and city hall, organized a march for historic ideas, in order to give the students an idea of how fascism was and how it marked the history of our country.
What happened next was a complete stupidity. The comunist party show up and tryed to stop the event, then the kids parents rioted, trying to stop their children from participating in the event. Police was called. Crazy thing. Those kids wil never learn the history of the past because their parents wont let-them.

Wow Nuno, fantastic job. Great photos, uniforms, and kids. It's weird to see all those German officers saluting instead doing the Hitler wave. I didn't recognize any of them. I really like the uniforms and I was shocked as well to see the youth groups lasted until the early 70's.

    Thanks Jay.
Im glad you have enjoyed the thread.
    These are great photos indeed.
It did last until the 70`s, but it lacked most of the strenght that it had in its early day.
With the end of the war and with the defeat of the axis forces, the regime was shaken and its forced reduced.
I will post now some of the rarest caps the youth had.
These were from the mozambique colony, the colonial uniforms were diferent from the ones in the mainland, the colonial units existed in smaller numbers.
Very few exist today and can fetch very high prices. Even the hitler youth members that lived in portugal, had diferent uniforms, as i have showed in previous photos.

Next, a african colonial youth side cap. I have to say, these caps were made with better materials and have a higher attention to detail, than the ones used in portugal. Very rare example.
