    Hi Nuno

    I know this is a 2 year old thread but I have to say it's a very interesting one.
    I have an interest / curiosity on the 30's and 40's German, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian youth movements.
    As to the funeral pic, did you find anything more? Could it be a portuguese soldier ("Viriatos") from the Spanish Blue Division that served on the Russian front in 44?

    Maybe you already got the answer (beeing this a 2 year old post...) Anyway here it goes: found out this was a funeral in Germany to capt. Mariano Augusto Lopes Pires that fought on the russian front and died in Berlin, Sep 15th 1941
