I know this is a 2 year old thread but I have to say it's a very interesting one.
I have an interest / curiosity on the 30's and 40's German, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian youth movements.
As to the funeral pic, did you find anything more? Could it be a portuguese soldier ("Viriatos") from the Spanish Blue Division that served on the Russian front in 44?

Ok, here`s the photo i was talking about. Can anyone tell me some information about this funeral? Who could it be? with so many honour, must be someone of importance.

Maybe you already got the answer (beeing this a 2 year old post...) Anyway here it goes: found out this was a funeral in Germany to capt. Mariano Augusto Lopes Pires that fought on the russian front and died in Berlin, Sep 15th 1941
