Document, I know nothing about these and didn't even know they existed but why is a Kapo tag stamped multiple times with an armament acceptance stamp? Usually an overstamped or over marked item is a sign of forgery. I'd like to here Carl's opinion on this one.

The bar above the triangle indicates that the convict(ed criminal) has escaped or has been transferred. Stamps needed to confirm that (so I've been told). I am also curious what an expert-expert thinks of this, but it was a gift from a woman that got it directly from the source, and kept it ever since. I have zero reason to doubt the origin(ality ...)

These come up on Polish websites frequently.

I would ere on the side of caution when looking at these but since you say have an impeccable source who am I to doubt it.

I believe the book Counterfeiting the Holocaust by Alec Tulkoff exposes similar red metal stamped badges as being counterfeit(ed).

Are there any authoritative reference works that describe this badge as authentic and others of similar type and markings?

MY own "best" of 2013 is a humble propaganda photo postcard which has taken me over four years(!) of searching to find. It was the second of a pair of postcards produced of a Forced Labour Camp run by IG Farben-Bayer at Leverkusen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany that shows Polish female forced workers wearing their obligatory <P> patch denoting "Pole" happy in their Leverkusen factory-provided barrack homes:
