Although past year has again seen some nice acquisitions, the favourite is a fairly comprehensive Polish officer’s grouping. Making it extra special is that it was from the officer's son, himself a decorated veteran of the Polish wartime resistance, whom I was blessed to meet via this very forum and who has since become a good friend.
Decorated for valour during September 1939 campaign, this officer made his way to fight again in the French Campaign, escaped German captivity and eventually served in the Polish Military Mission to Canada. The grouping consists of uniform items, documents, photo album, decorations, a pocket dairy from 1940, etc. – all of which is in slow progress of being covered here:
