Nice pick up Kris you have stumbled on a hoard by the looks of it
The one that catches my eye is on the top row fifth button in with the anchor is this a Naval button or is it merchant marine or commercial.

The button that you are refearing to is a fantasy button to me, a cheap construction!

Fake, is not the right word! It is just that some buttons for general purpose were produced by certain smaller firm's.
Some times they could lay hand on original die's and used them as well. Materials, finition and constructions are different.
