    Heres a real "Pour le Merite" on the forum (I think it the closest we are going to get !).........Oberstleutnant Heinrich Brinkord (1882-1965) awarded 21 October 1918. Here is a link to the sale page on a well known German dealers site/auction, which gives more information and shows his actual awards, which sold for a measly 38500 Euro Hermann Historica - Internationales Auktionshaus fr Antiken, Alte Waffen, Orden und Ehrenzeichen, Historische Sammlungsstcke

    He certainly was a 'hands on' kind of bloke, want he! PLM for his 'defense with hand grenades!'
    Great pic of Brinkord wearing the PLM.
    The decoration went for a nice bit of pocket change.....

    Emedals has some for sale a lot cheaper but these are post WW1.
