I thought about posting this in the WWI section, but as I dont own a PLM to post (big surprise there), I put it here instead.

I did search the forum, but didnt find anything (besides loads of fakes/repros); does anybody on the forum own a PLM - Adler and the rest of the heavy hitters or anybody else?

I find it a beautiful decoration.

    Thanks for swift reply.

I thought, there would not be many of the elusive PLM.

Still hoping the owner will post pics..... ;-)

Many a moon ago, I once had a Godet issue 1910-20 era award(Alas...gilt silver-not solid gold)....without Oakleaves or case. I almost hung onto it, but decided to do some touring in Europe instead...
And, no-I never took any photo's of it, although I May have one somewhere of it if I can eventually find it...if it still exists, of course!

and here Orden Pour le Mérite William, a shame you got rid of the jewellers copy ! still a genuine PLM, as is the last St u L version sold in the 1957 range, one being sold to Ernst Junger ! even these ones can fetch up to £1000, one shown here.....I would own one !
    Prost ! Steve.

The only time I have seen an original was in a Belgian museum.
I think I may have photos of it in the Case, however it won't be a detailed close up.
Im looking for an a case to an 1936 olympics medal and a case to entry to austria medal. pm me If you have any spare.

I am on 4 different forums and in all the years I've been around,
I think I have only seen 2 -- maybe 3 original war time PLMs ever
listed. I know I will never own one but some day I hope to a least
    own an original PLM miniature.
