The World at War will take some beating. I quite like the recent WW2 in Colour type documentaries though. Gives a new perspective on life back then seeing things as they actually were and not in black and white.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

The World at War will take some beating. I quite like the recent WW2 in Colour type documentaries though. Gives a new perspective on life back then seeing things as they actually were and not in black and white.

I remember watching the world at war on Telly in about 1974 as a kid with my Old man, it was an amazing doco back then and still is the best in my opinion. I really liked the interviews and opinions of people like Albert Speer, Adolf Galland, Traudl Junge etc...fascinating stuff. It certainly helped fuel my interest in my own families involvement in WW11. A great doco indeed.

Used to have a copy of this, until it got taped over by accident! DOH!!!!
Really must get hold of another copy........Ebay here I come.
Along similar lines is the CBS/Fox mini series WWII narrated by Walter Kronkite
