    Hello ladies and gents,
I was wondering if any of you fine experts knew where to find a Reproduction German helmet quality made and at a fairly low price. I want it to be made out of considerably good metal or material for my purposes. under 100$ would be nice. Are there any websites you guys know of?

I just don't want a chinese fake, those are made of cheap metal. My second question is, can a ww1 sniper brow plate be applied to a M35/M40 helmet? All reproduction of coarse.

No. There are no lugs on the later model helmets.

Oh now I know what the lugs are for, thanks, I learn something new everyday. Could they be modified to add the brow plate on an M35?

I saw a nice reproduction helmet for a low price and made of 18 gauge steel. Is 18 gauge steel quality metal? And is the helmet made of 18 gauge steel bullet resistant?

No helmet ever made - from ANY country - was designed to withstand
an impact from a bullet. The WWI German brow plate afforded
    some protection, at least.

A repro Chinese helmet is going to be your best bet under
$100, and 18 gauge steel is about 1mm thick - about
the thickness of a kitchen sink............
    Regards,

    Steve.

A U.S. dime is approximately 1 mm thick. thought this might be easier than pulling out the sink to compare
