I think going by responses, you either like them or hate them....
Each to their own
I don't mind the odd repro for detection comparison purposes to original items. and also you can play/break a repro with no real worries
eg. Repro M1 Short Bayonet

I have a silly Janke fake. I thought it was authentic, but no no no
[COLOR="#EE82EE"]I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I'm out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Nope. Never had-never would.

My only "repro"... authentic post-war M.33 Italian helmet that I got made to look like a wartime Alpine troop (Alpini). I've never seen an authentic one for sale...

I also have a few repro items on my rifles. For example, cleaning rods and leather slings on my Russian capture K98k and Type 99 Arisaka rifle. The real deal would be WAY expensive, and would probably cost more than the individual rifles I'd attach them to (all my rifles are shooters, not really display pieces)...
Guys,the last thing that a collector wants in his collection is "repos" I feel that a repo will detract from the legitimacy of the entire collection.When yon buy one the "fantasy market wins" KEEP IN REAL.
Something like thise;
