Road Trip ..Sydney to Adelaide

Anyone suggest any good German ww2 shops or Fairs on the way starting next week, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide

Bugger-all in Adelaide, though you may want to try in Woodside - some of the shops there have a range of military items - usually WW2. There is at least one shop that has some military stuff on Goodwood Road (I can't remember the name, but the road is not that long - it's on the right heading into the CBD).

[Edit: there is one... Antique Market in Grote Street in the CBD - but it's expensive. There's also an 'Antique/Junk' shop on the road between Melbourne and Adelaide - quite a lot of gear - but the prices....Sorry - I forget the name of the town...well actually it's not in the town..it's just sort of: What the Hell was that? as you drive past at 110kph]

If you have the overpowering urge to spend far more than you should on
an item you could possibly try the Canberra Antiques Centre in Fyshwick.
I have stuck my head in the door a few times while on my annual pilgrimage
to the War Memorial. Ridiculously overpriced basic stuff with more than a
smattering of fakes......but then again you might just get lucky

Just ring the centre to see whether the German stuff is still there. A bloke called Virgo Lentzkow owned
this particular shop within the centre & was the subject of some bad press by the local do-gooders for
selling that horrible "Nazi stuff". Do I buy from overseas? In a word yes. Usually cheaper even with the
exchange rate & postage.

I've done this trip a few times and I know there is a antique / collectibles shop in northern Victoria but I'm buggered if I can remember where! If I think of it I'll let you know, it was in an old church and they did have some militaria including some German gear.

Thanks guys..im lucky i get to Europe each year for a bit of a spending spree,although the internet is just as easy..got some great stuff from guys in this forum as well
