I'm an employee of a large UK power distribution company and we are plagued by ner-do-wells stealing our copper earthing. On the overhead network they would annoyingly steal what they could reach (aprox 2m) but just recently they have become more brave/stupid and are climbing higher to maximize their booty. A team on a routine inspection of our overhead network came across one such idiot who had climbed a little to high and came in contact with the 11000 volt conductors. His corpse had been there some time and was in an advanced state of decomposition with his head laying at the base of the pole. Not a nice find for our guys. Not only do they have little respect for others but it seems they have non for themselves as I don't think this guy was working alone. So his colleagues just watched him fry and then scarpered. Nice!.
