Ah, so there's ANOTHER bunch of nutty collectors out there besides us???

A while ago I was offered two Japanese female kimono: one for 20,000 and another one for 30,000 dollars.
This a quite a price. I would not have bought them, even having had the money. I did not like the pattern.
After about two weeks they were sold!

Every kind of collecting is actually pretty weird. Who needs all these helmets, stamps, coins etc. after we have gone? Just some people have too much money and free time:-).

I don't collect TR, just some other things that I can afford from the
    monthly payments I get (pension).
Do have my pension for ten years, so time I have enough: I can spend
my time to whatever subject I am pleased with. And when I am gone
I don't care what happens with my collected material and archive about
TR regulations. My daughters can do whatever they want to do with it!
I even would not care when they throw all of it away........or shred it!

Mr. Saris, if You found in my posting something insulting about Your age or how You spend Your money - it was not meant so. I posted before I read Your posting about the kimonos.

Imagine if it was a SS corkscrew, you'd all be losing your minds right now with envy.

Frundsberg: No, there were not any problems. I did not find
anything insulting, nor about age or spending money. Maybe
    I haven't understood things well.
