Sorry if i post in the wrong section, feel free to move the thread! Just gotta ask, there is numerous "genuine" wooden stamps out on ebay and similar sites, either those were massproduced or it´s many fakes, i would put my 2 cents on the latter. But is there any easy way to (by picture) separate the real ones from the fake? I could go with a repro if it was advertised as that, and the pricing was set due to that. But they all are "genuine" it seems..

If you mean ink/document stamps, then yes 99.8% will likely
be fake - especially, from Ebay. Go carefully if you are
looking for a genuine TR era stamp. They are very
    easy to fake..........
    Regards,

    Steve.

You can pick up identical repros at some military shows,,, same style and features of the grip and stamp. These are nice to stamp on the outside of any outgoing mail envelopes...but the mail system just does not seem to share the same like minded in the hobby or humor of it.
