Thompson or M1 Carbine

Article about: Although an M1 Carbine would probably look better, and weigh a lot less on a display, the Thompson is the way I'd go - an M1 Carbine is worth 1/4 the cost of a .45 Tommy gun, IMO.........

    Default Thompson or M1 Carbine

With a thompson A1 and an M1 carbine at the same price, both deactivated.
What would look better on a us combat display?
Would like to ear opinions on this.
    Cheers

Depends on the display but I'd go with the M1

Ooooh, I have a soft spot for a Thompson. From the "this proves he's a gangster" image of Churchill holding one that Hitler used as 'justification' to the brute power of a 45 cal slug on full auto, the tommy gun gets my vote!

Just wish we could own one in Australia!

It depends on what you are displaying. What rank is your GI? Is he an infantryman? An engineer? What other items do you have to display with him?

They are both cool weapons, and it's a hell of a tough call IMO.
But I would have to go with the Thompson.
    There's my 2 cents worth.
