With a thompson A1 and an M1 carbine at the same price, both deactivated.
What would look better on a us combat display?
Would like to ear opinions on this.
Cheers

Depends on the display but I'd go with the M1
Ooooh, I have a soft spot for a Thompson. From the "this proves he's a gangster" image of Churchill holding one that Hitler used as 'justification' to the brute power of a 45 cal slug on full auto, the tommy gun gets my vote!
Just wish we could own one in Australia!
Cheers, Dan

Hard to say as they are both iconic US weapons, i think people will disagree but i'd go with the carbine!..
The thompson, itself is a work of art, but i dont know if it would good on the dummy.
Maybe the M1 will look better?
tommy gun, watch that johnny Depp movie( Public enemies) then decide
It depends on what you are displaying. What rank is your GI? Is he an infantryman? An engineer? What other items do you have to display with him?
They are both cool weapons, and it's a hell of a tough call IMO.
But I would have to go with the Thompson.
There's my 2 cents worth.
Brad.
They are both good weapons,I have both in my collection.
Go for the Thompson.
