travel advice for ww2 village oradour-sur-glane?

ive decided to visit the ww2 french village oradour -sur-glane , i would be flying into limoges and stay maybe 2 nights

can anyone advise me on where to stay , should i stay im limoges or try to find somewhere nearer ? would have a rental car

any advice to make a smooth trip please
