Article about: i herd this a while back and i was wondering if anone knew if it was true The 1st german serviceman killed in WWII was killed by the Japanese in china in 1937 and the 1st american serviceman

    i herd this a while back and i was wondering if anone knew if it was true The 1st german serviceman killed in WWII was killed by the Japanese in china in 1937 and the 1st american serviceman was killed by the russians finland in 1940

    I don't know the truth behind these claims: but WW2 did not start until Sept 1939, and of course the USA did not enter the war until Dec. '41.

    An American pilot was killed in the Battle of Britain in 1940 too!

    well i gess technicly the german part is not true since it is dated 1937 but the americans had servicemen over there before they officialy entered the war in 1941.

    I was reading something about that on a site I don't recall off hand. 'Odd facts about WW2' or something like that.
