You get a presentation?! lucky chap, i got mine with my service records when i left. I have put it away now i have re-enlisted ...
Donnie.. P.S what are your thoughts on it by the way?
Hi Donnie,
Well i think it is a good thing for Vets to be recognized, a lot of guys put good time in and have nothing to show for it at times.
And some in this country dont appreciate our forces weather it be any one of the three, so its about time we got something for our efforts. Have you gone back to the rifles ?, well done and take
care of your self,
Dave.
Hi mate,
I think a Veterans badge should entitle you too a free pint in every pub in the UK .....
Donnie PM sent ref Rifles.
Got mine about 3 years ago without a presentation
They are a good thing for all Britians Vets , if you are prepared to stand on the wall with your head above the parapet in any era you deserve some sort of recognition
regards
Paul

Hi Paul,
They are doing the British Forces Day on the 12st down this end
with the band and bugles, military vehicle shows ect, and the presentation of badges to Vets. So it will be good to see some old mates after years and get together.
dave.
My Dad got a letter through telling him he is entitled to apply for it... he got it in the post... hahaha no presentation for him
He was Corporal @ RAF Lyneham
Dan
If you were awarded a gong for your service dont you think that should be enough? infact let me rephrase that, when in normal civilian dress the badge should be worn but on parades if you are wearing medals the badge should not be worn.........thats what i think?
