    evening all ,ive been rummaging through the loft and found my most favorite action figure of my youth ,allthough something just doesnt seem period correct enjoy james

    spot on guys ,some how through the passage of time the Mauser K98 has been replaced by a phased plasma handgun now to find the correct rifle ,its back to the loft i go

    At the risk of being a geek, that's not Han Solo's gun. He had a BlasTech Industries DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol.

    It bears a remarkable resemblance to the Mauser C96 pistol but as Star Wars is a historical documentary series from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... we can only assume that the Germans and Mauser copied their pistol design from the original DL-44 design.

    adrian there's nothing wrong with being a geek ,to be honest im one myself ,as well as a nerd a dweeb ,i read somewhere that george lucas based a lot of the star wars film props on actual ww2 period militaria

    There are a lot of recognisable weapons in Star Wars from the mighty MG 34 to the humble BSA Scorpion air pistol.

    In fact I have a Stormtrooper E-11 Blaster rifle that the British based their Sterling L2A3 sub machine gun on.

    I use it in my second job.............
