Worst wedding proposal ever? Amateur historian gets down on one knee dressed as a Nazi soldier

This article was written by a vegetable at The Telegraph. First thing which ticked me off was how the writer clearly has the historical knowledge of a potato, and uses the word 'Nazi' in reference to his uniform, well in case you didn't know Mademoiselle Potato from the Telegraph, that is not a 'Nazi' uniform, but a uniform of a soldier of the German army! Tut tut...

Secondly, the writer creates a stigma around German Reenactment and the fact he proposed while reenacting. Why does it matter how he proposes, they both love history, and each other, so why should anyone criticise them for doing something that they love. All in all, I think it was a slow day in the news room and they decided someone's private affairs were newsworthy. Rant over!

My hat goes off to them and I hope they have a happy marriage, well done lad!

Thats typical of a LIBERAL and worse is when a LIBERAL gets a job working in the media..is his dream job to distort the truth and total failure of studying the topic first.

    LOSER

History suffers in schools and is removed because of clowns like these being allowed to continue the lies where this guy left off

and this failed philosophical degenerate poisoned his 6 children.

I congratulate the Reenactor on his engagement and also a special thanks for keeping history alive and very real for all to remember...anything else short of the truth are the deniers who invoke the "Passover"..by passing right over the rest of the important details that complete a story in whole truth.

He looks like a serious re-enactor in a serious re-enactment group to me looking at those pictures, not a prat wrapped in a swastika. Some of these ignorant journo's need to go back to school and read some history books! I to hope he and his future wife have a long and happy marriage. Leon.

Funny how the media has to always dehumanize every German who served during the war. It's not like everyone out of the 18 million who served were raging national socialists. Majority were ordinary people with families and had to serve their duty.

Too right, people like this 'vegetable journals' as I like to call em need to know a fing or two before doing owt in newspapers! The nazis didn't get 100% vote anyway, a small fraction of that, and not everyone who voted, voted for anti-semitism, but that's another story altogether, I just hole they have a long and fruitful marriage!
