Difficult to date accurately but my 2 canteen rings (one found in SS positions in North Karelia) are thought to date from the late 1920s, possibly with a Freikorps connection.

The annoying thing is that I know I put it in a box somewhere safe........ obviously so safe that I haven't got a clue where it is

In terms of Militaria, I have just received this Trench Map today, dated 1917.

    I rather like it.

Also received a couple of other maps and some aerial photos that I will post when I can get my scanner to work....

    Cheers
    Tim

Edit: BTW the top of the table that the map is sitting on is circa 1915 and the legs are circa 1890...(damned cobbled-together stuff!)

Nice items so far. I have this flintlock military pistol, c.1815. Also a Victorian Rifle Volunteer officers Sword, and an Enfield P53 Rifled Musket dated 1855. The P53 has some missing pieces in this photograph, (sling, sight, ramrod) it has since been completed.
