The first piece I remember was a Korean war era US helmet that belonged
to my stepdad. The first pieces I actually bought were US shoulder patches.
The Army surplus store down the street had big boxes full of them. You could
buy all you wanted for $.10 apiece. That would have been about 1964-65.

my first item was an Observation sight from a Flak 88 that my grandfather brought back and my father gave to me when i was about 15, i just recently received several other items my grandfather brought back, including a Fire / Police aluminum helmet!
