I chose this profile name because I collect gas masks, and gas mask collectors are reffered to as "Gassies". Plus, the name wasn`t taken.

    Hi

My surname is Vickers (like the machinegun) and the British troops often referred to the German MG42 as the "spandau" , so my nickname in the collecting/re-enactment circles became spandau....I also liked to fire the MG42 at the shows we did.....happy days all gone now !

    cheers

    Have you seen the horse?

In answer to the original post, KradSpam comes from a WW2 strategy game I have played for years. It arises from a tendency I had to build dozens (spam) of practically useless kettenkrad recon units and charge them around in large blobs, just for the giggles of myself and my team mates. And no doubt the enemy players also (who inevitably had a couple of fireflies with infantry hiding which smashed my proud formations...)

I like to think I am a much better commander than this gimmick suggests
