    the g/f has just returned from a trip to edelweiss germany , then tonight while browsing some items for sale i see several edleweiss items for sale

    whats it all about ?

    Worn by Heer & Waffen SS Mountain Troops and also by the SA in Alpine Regions.

    Edelweiss was an insignia worn by mountain troops (Geb. Jager). Stewy

    The Edelweiss was an emblem of the Gebirgsjaeger (German Mountain troops) in WW2. They used it as a cap badge and a sleeve patch
