I'm from Santa Cruz , California. I'm third generation born here. My great grandpa surfed here in the twenties. I come from surfer stock. I knew jay moriarty, the poor boy that passed away after training to surf mavericks. There was a movie just made called,'Chasing mavericks' and stars Gerard Butler from the movie"300", he was leonitus with the spray on abs.

Chris, your city has a lot of crime these days. Santa Cruz is not far behind. We were the murder capital of the world at one time. We had a lot of serial killers, one of the more famous ones were Edmund Kemper. The guy was six foot eight! His brother is a sheriff to this day and looks just like him. He was good jail guard though, never treated me bad. Edmund used to pick up girls hitch hiking from university of Santa Cruz. He killed his grandparents when he was fifteen then spent six years in a youth prison.he bean killing again when he got out.
