    The Germans had the steppi'n out down pact but the US Airborne had the best combat IMO.

    I would have to say the German basic Heer "M40" (SD M40 Helmet, M40 wool tunic and jackboots with the leather gear ) uniform looks the best IMO
    Unless the AAF counts, then a bomber gunner by far, in leather high altitude equipment, with goggles and an oxygen mask manning a 50 cal!!!

    Late war US army combat uniform,weared in a so cool way by the average GI,is imo,at the same time,the symbol of our freedom in France,and also the concept of the modern cowboy,so iconic.
    Nothing can beat for me the cooooooool silhouette of a Us soldier with the M1 on his side.....
