It is just a bit of red cloth beneath the panzer skulls.

Adding red cloth behind the eye sockets was a non regulation affectation with some Heer Panzer soldiers. I have even seen eye sockets picked out in pink paint.

Hello fellow members! This is my first post on WRF, and I thought it would be an appropriate one. These are the most favorite items in my collection and are what fueled my collecting interest. They were awarded to my father and were given to me by my mother after his passing. I have also included a photo of what my father earned, (but not all were awarded), and how I have them displayed.
