1893 21e Regiment of Dragons french military paperwork

Okay, before I spend a fortune having a war appraiser tell me what this is....can someone give me any hints? It's French. Has some stamps in it like a Visa. When translated it gives dates and how many pieces of military uniforms were handed out to this man. Its about the size of a passport.

it appears as if this was a soldiers pay booklet. Some armies made you note what uniforms you have, and if they were lost (non-combat), it would come out of the soldiers pay, it was also a way for the army to keep tabs on where uniforms went.

Thats my gues at it. whats on the other side of the pages?

Not just a pay booklet, it contents everything there is to know about the soldier; he's name , adresse, the date he joined the army, he's hollydays, the color of he's eyes and hair,the battles he took part,medals he got, promotions he made etc.

To translate it from French to English this is what it says: Dates of passage and release

then in the date areas it says: in the army reserve force

under the april date stamps in Lille, France it says:
Commander of the office recruitment

date modified as a result of deductions over the term of service

signatures of the authorities who operate changes

changes in reporting since incorporation

marriage since incorporation

authorization of the Board of Directors on

and then the very bottom says...in time of war and its passages are only conducted the liberation that takes place after arrival body of class to replace the one which belongs to the man

Yes, that's right, it does state all of that...eye color, etc. Also in this book are documents to Canada asking for this soldiers passage. There is also a medical bill page.

I was in an antique store and I found an old photo album. I researched the family and mailed the album back east to their ancestors. I went back and found this document on the great grandfather of the little boy in the album. I paid 7 dollars for it. The antique store thought it was a passport. Do you know what this document is called?

Maybe Reservist Certificated. I Grandpa had one Reservist Certificated that had these informations.

Well, here in Brazil, mens that has just made 18 years old, can choose whether to serve the armed forces or not. If so, you will join the reservation of the armed forces, so the governament give a certificate to you: the certificate of reservist.
