My Cousin contacted me about a book she found that was her Father's, Joe Rachunas (384th , 545th) . The Uncle I honor with my 8th collection. . She wanted to send it to the Air Force museum in Ohio. I told her it would be better accepted at the Mighty 8th Museum. She agreed that would be a better home for it. She made me a copy and this is the my copy of the book and the letter. For size comparison I put a 12" ruler above it. The original is on its way to the Mighty 8th museum.
The first pic is the original she sent me a pic of.

I would have loved to had the original , But knowing my Uncle's name is on a plaque there at the 8th Museum ,I thought it better to reside there.

The 2 ladies standing by the DAMNED YANKEE II plaque are my Buddy Phil's daughters. Phil was the left waist gunner on the plane. They did get the name wrong on the plaque of the B-17 they were in when shot down , It should be the Mrs Geezil ,but they did fly in the DAMNED YANKEE II.
But who am I to say anything.8th Air Force Tactical Delvelopment. 1942-1945.

When I posted this on the 384th FB page, One of the other researchers found this digital copy.

So I figured I would share it here for other's who wish to read this book.

The only difference with this and the one my cousin sent to the Mighty 8th Museum is that it is marked as SECRET on the front pages and the one linked has CONFIDENTIAL stamped over the SECRET!!
    Enjoy!!
