    Default African American Soldier's Pic

I came across this at a flea and had to buy it. It's of a local soldier, and I have never seen such a pic for sale. These men served their country under much discrimination. I have met a few WW2 African American vets, and they deserve all the respect in the world! Some of the stories I've heard from them are wonderful. Any info on this man's pic is much appreciated. PS-If it's not WW2, sorry...

Probably near the end or just after the war because of the Ruptured Duck
discharge insignia. The 1st Airforce remained Stateside on the east coast.
He was awarded the Victory medal, American Defense Medal and
Good Conduct Medal. A technical grade offered more pay
    without a bump in rank.

    It's a nice photo.........!
    Regards,

    Steve.
