What pow camp was your uncle in? I had another uncle in the 2/4th infantry battalion, he enlisted in N.S.W. who was taken prisoner on Crete, he went to Stalag V111B in East Prussia.

Mate I haven't got around to researching him as of yet... He is next on the list as I am still working on finishing the research on his older brother (2/48th) My grandparents came from big families with lots of kids there was 20 or so Great Uncles and Aunts that all served in WW2... There were no TV's back in those days so I guess all their parents had to do to keep them occupied at night was.... Well you know

I have never seen the stats but I would think per capita the amount of West Aussies who signed up and served would have to be really high. My Grandfather was one of 9 kids and of those 6 served in WW2 and only 5 came back.

If you see the old guy in on the scooter on the left of the picture behind him was 1000+ people... Standing room only I got a lovely view of the backs of a couple of hundred peoples heads.

Thanks mate! I only have a few pics but I'll see if I can find a few pics from the Perth ANZAC day dawn service in Kings Park and the march through Perth city.

In Peterborough (England) is the Grave of Sgt. Hunter.
He succumbed to wounds whilst being treated.

Every year, on the nearest Sunday to Anzac day, a memorial is held at his graveside honouring ALL Anzacs !
