Here's a set you won't see every day. Can't be too common?
Rescued from the rubbish when I was a ragamuffin at 16!!!

Now that is a possibility, I have never seen or heard of these.
One thing that strikes me is the spelling of colour "color" makes me think these are WW2 and for use by US personel also

The amount of the fare may shed light on the age
of these tickets - Is that '2P' or '2D' ?

Yeah didnt notice the spelling maybe it was a typo? Its a bit of a mystery although It does say Royal Park line too Royal Park had a Camp/Base there during ww2 Im not sure If the Yanks were in Melbourne in great numbers during ww2. I have a Brisbane travel pass for soldiers in my collection I will see If I can dig it out and post a pic up.

Balcombe Camp - Mornington Peninsula, Victoria just out side of town 60 odd km
The MCG was used as a camp. MacArther was based in the CBD Melbourne for a while!

2D and I'm not sharp on our old currency I'm a metric fella - and metric is the kuuutta! easy to work with

Yeah I knew that clown MacArthur and his staff were down there critisising our troops in New Guinea while he was as far away from the battle front as he could possibly be, I just wasnt sure If there were any large number of US troops down there but I guess there would have been though.

And 2d is 2 pennies which is 2 cents in todays money, pretty bloody cheap for a tram ride
