British Patriotic Postcard

Hello folks.

Another purchase that just arrived this morning. Due to lack of space, I'm currently focusing on 'pocket-sized' items that are easier to store and display. This is one of them. A patriotic postcard titled 'The Spirit of Britain', printed by Valentine's, featuring the coats of arms of various Commonwealth countries. Front and centre is a photo portrait of Winston Churchill, and the text of his famous 'Fight on the Beaches' speech.

Only a small item, but one that displays very nicely alongside other Home Front gear.

A very bright and interesting piece

I can’t imagine Irish people from the Republic of Ireland would be happy their coat of arms is included though!

I expect it's meant to refer to Ireland as a whole, rather than Northern Ireland alone. But yes, I can't imagine diehard republicans would be particularly happy with it!
