Hi walking along The Mall today in London and came across this... These breast plates were captured of ( French) The Guards during the 1812 (Waterloo)

this car holds the Queens Crown in the middle of the car( but hard to see in this pic) at the back of the car 2 large Speptors.

I thought Waterloo was in 1815? Regardless, here's another 'captured' French breastplate from the battle worn by a Carabinier named Antoine Favreau, it's not really in as good condition.....

I think you can forget that idea of them wearing captured French breastplates from Waterloo. Such items would be far too valuable to be used for a start! If I remember correctly, a while back the military were trying out plastic back and breastplates for reasons of cost. No longer having to face cannon balls or grapeshot 'Elf n Safety' probably wouldn't have any objections!

It was probably an 'inoperable solid object trauma wound.'

Yes Ned it was 1815, but I can not remember what the exact date of the capture of these plates was.
I remember not long ago The last Queens birthday THE BBC was covering it and the narrator was giving information about the Guards wearing these plates and they were from European campaign.
SK don't take notice of what narrators,they talk through their arse's. know f all.
