This is typical of British manuals, so matter of fact about really "bad shit"!

During my own service and I don't think it has changed recently, the Infantry training pamphlet dealing with bayonet drill explained in some detail how one should despatch an enemy with the "cold steel" then glibly deals with multiple threats by saying "proceed and deal with the next enemy" as if the buggers would be queueing up!

Dammed bad form for a chap not to wait his turn, what!

I love this stuff, it's just so British!

    Thanks for showing

" it is TERRIBLY IMPORTANT that we should never catch one of our own cyclists or dispatch riders in a trap" ............( that WOULD put a dampener on things )

For clarity, they should have added:

"NOTE: If you do catch one of our own cyclists or dispatch riders by mistake, apologize politely. Do not implement the "club/shoot" stage of the procedures described above."
