    Hi all,

    my granddad was a tank driver in the rats in eygpt and italy but my nan has dementia and cant remember what regiment hes was in.
    on the record of service it says RTC and RAC, whats that mean?
    and i cant find much on the york hussars.

    i belive he may of been doing something very important as my nan did not know for 16 months if he was still alive and then received all hes letters in one go.
    i would love to find out more about were he was and at what times.
    here are afew pictures, any info or addvice on were i can find more would be much appreciated.

    Hi there
    RTC = royal tank corp , RAC = royal armoured corp.
    the yourkshire hussars was a yomanry reg,i belive ,part of the TA
    it is now known as "A" squodron the queens own yeomanry , try looking at wikipedia theres a lot about them there

    Ade, cheers im glad you liked them, think theres alot more at my nans, i have a few ww1 pictures too.

    The P40 in the 7th photograph is from 450 squadron RAAF, squadron code "OK".
