Fascinating LCM Log 1943-1945

I'm posting some pictures (sorry for poor quality) taken of a ship's log from the pacific theater. I purchased this several years ago and quite honestly, need to review it again for information about the actual name/number of the ship (the book is packed up with other material at present). I believe the ship is an LCM, and its crew participated in several battles and/or supplied several occupied islands including Iwo Jima and Okinawa. The full name of the sailor that kept the log is unknown. He kept detailed entries (1943-1945) of various official information (I'm assuming that this was part of his duties) but he was also very lovesick as indicated by other not-so official notes and comments. He likely kept the log and took it home as a souvenir and he (or someone else) used a couple of pages in the back as a log for hours worked on a farm. Unfortunately, no date for that set of entries but still a neat part of the history of this book. When I revisit this book I'll try to find the number of the ship and post it. Thanks for looking.
