HMS King George V
Hello
A few years ago, I found this rather nice photo of a harbour tug, at an antiques fair, in Gateshead. After a few hours, I got the chanse to examine the photo closer, and I noticed the ship in tow. It was HMS King George V. I hope that you like it.

She looks very high in the water. I wonder if this photo was taken after the launching of the ship in 1911 before the turrets and superstructure were fitted?

I think that you might be correct. The ship looks very high in the water.

Another clue that supports Ned's suggestion is the coal-fired tug. Is there anything on the back of the postcard? Dwight

There is nothing written on the back of the photo.

Definitely the incomplete hull-if she was any further out of the water she'd be a hovercraft!-Good photo.
