The Malmedy Massacre Photo

hiya guys

got this today its a press photo of the discovery of a site just a few miles out of the town of Malmedy where it was reported by survivors that German soldiers had gunned down their prisoners the article at the bottom says,

ABOUT DEC. 17 OR 18 WHEN THE GERMANS FIRST STARTED THEIR COUNTER ATTACK A FEW G.I.'S OF A GROUP OF OVER A HUNDRED PRISONERS ESCAPED AND TOLD THE STORY OF THE GERMANS SHOOTING THAT GROUP OF PRISONERS. A FEW DAYS LATER I BELIEVE THAT THE STATE DEPARTMENT ISSUED A STATEMENT ABOUT THE MASSACRE. THIS ALL HAPPENED A FEW MILES OUT SIDE OF THE TOWN OF MALMEDY. TODAY WE FOUND THE BODIES TO SUBSTANTIATE THIS STATEMENT. THE BODIES WERE IN A FIELD AT A PLACE CALLED FIVE CORNERS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF BAUGNEZ. THEY WERE STILL WHERE THEY HAD FALLEN, AND WERE BURIED ONLY BY THE SNOW THAT HAD FALLEN. THEY WERE ALL IN A GROUP AND IT SEEMS THAT THEY WERE MOWED DOWN BY GUNS FOR NO REASON AT ALL SINCE THEY WERE PRISONERS.

and here we are moaning that mi5 may have known about an alcaeeda (cant spell ) suspect getting ruffed up abit

quite similiar to the DACHAU massacre by US troops..
both sets of victims ..unarmed combat troops..
victims of a harsh fate..

i think these incedences are diffent in that
the malmady massacre was cold blooded
the dachow (cant spell) incident was hot blooded
hue to what they found there
two different emotions
niether excusable
but one understandable

i disagree totally..
both acts of murder..
but according to wartime reports
US soldiers at malmedy were trying to escape
SS pows didnt have that chance,,
and it has to be remembered these were not
camp personal..
far from it..
combat soldiers.who wrongly believed
assurances would be honoured
and as far as im concerned..
the indian american soldier who started shooting
is as guilty as any other war criminal..
the winners write history..
whether it be right or not

thanks for puting me right i allways thought they were camp personel who would have ,,,,kind of ,,,,deserved it ???
no commbat soldiers which ever side they are on deserve to meet that kind of end
and yes if thats the case the purpotrators are war criminals

well either way both incidents should never have happened. neither can be justified in anyway & i hope this thread dosent turn into an argument over it !!!!
