hi, I wonder if anyone has a view on the origins of this large leaflet - slightly longer than A4 size. There is what looks like Arabic writing at the foot of the page and in the lower right margin 'M.E.4.'

Is this a British WW2 propaganda leaflet?

    many thanks, Dave

Interesting item Dave. First lets address the image, it shows a significant assembly of British Morris C8 Field Artillery Tractors with crews and their 25 pounder guns. These "beetle back" tractors were called Quads and used throughout WW2 and through the 1950's by Britain and commonweath Armies. Notice the camo paint job on the tractors. Where was the photo taken? It could be North Africa (which might explain the Arabic writing)or it might be in Italy. The Quad's were used in both theatres.
Can't help on the Arabic writing. M.E.4 could that be Middle East 4, whatever that might mean?

Germany were gaining popularity and support in North Africa, we ( British ) began a campaign to counteract this which included pro British media such as this most likely
